| 英文描述 | Foals with signs of gastrointestinal disease, sometimes with hypoproteinemia, had irregular thickening of the jejunum and ileum at ultrasound and/or necropsy. Testing indicated that this was associated with mucosal thickening, and that lesions were associated with the presence of an organism that either was, or was closely related to, LAWSONIA INTRACELLULARIS, the cause of proliferative enteropathy in swine. L. INTRACELLULARIS appears to be a cause of enteropathy in foals. |
